Awards Presented to 26 People Including Minister of Patriots and Veterans Affairs Commendation
The Gyeongnam Eastern Regional Office of the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs held an awards ceremony for exemplary patriots and meritorious individuals at the Government Gyeongnam Regional Complex Auditorium on the 27th.

View original imageThe awards ceremony, held every June during Patriots and Veterans Month, aims to boost the pride and morale of the recipients by recognizing those who have contributed to the development of the nation and local communities, as well as individuals who have worked to improve the welfare of veterans and their families. It also helps foster a culture of respect for veterans and promotes the spread of veteran-related values.
This year's honored recipients included 26 individuals across five categories: six people, including Kang Samjong, received the Minister of Patriots and Veterans Affairs Award; Kim Sewoo received the Minister of Education Award; four people, including Kim Miyeong, were recognized as meritorious individuals; five people, including Kang Changsoo, received the Governor of Gyeongnam Province Award; and ten people, including Kim Dongcheol, received the Head of Gyeongnam Eastern Regional Office Award.
More than 150 people attended the ceremony, including Park Hyungin, head of the Gyeongnam branch of the Liberation Association, leaders of veterans' organizations, and veterans' families, to congratulate and encourage the awardees.
Director Cho Gyeongcheol stated, "I would like to express my gratitude and respect to all the awardees who have contributed to the development of the nation and local communities. We will continue our efforts to spread the culture of honoring veterans and take the lead in realizing living patriotism in everyday life."
