The family who donated the items includes Jeon Duho (10), a third grader at Cheongun Elementary School. Jeon had been steadily saving the allowance he received. Instead of buying things he wanted, he prepared 10 fans so that neighbors in need could have a cool summer.
Jeon said, "I have wanted to donate for a long time, and I feel proud to use the money I saved by carefully managing my allowance to help neighbors around me this time. I hope the fans are delivered well to those who need them." The Buksam-dong Administrative Welfare Center plans to distribute the donated fans, filled with Jeon's warm heart, to low-income households with old or broken fans or to heat-vulnerable households in need of fans, while also checking on their well-being during the summer heat.
