On the 26th (local time), according to major foreign media including Sputnik News, Maria Zakharova, spokesperson for the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, issued this warning during a briefing held in conjunction with the St. Petersburg International Legal Forum.
She stated, "South Korea announced that it would reconsider sending lethal weapons to Ukraine, but this is a wrong move that will bring irreversible consequences to the relationship between Russia and South Korea," adding, "Since South Korean weapons and military equipment could be transferred to Ukrainian neo-Nazis to strike Russian territory and kill civilians, Russia will not overlook this."
Earlier, on the 20th, Jang Ho-jin, Director of the National Security Office of the Presidential Secretariat, condemned the signing of the 'Strategic Partnership Treaty' between Russia and North Korea and stated that "the issue of arms support to Ukraine will be reconsidered."
Zakharova also pointed out, "South Korea should break free from its fanatical dependence on the United States, stop being a vassal state of the U.S., and realistically assess the current situation on the Korean Peninsula."
