Kim Dongil, Head of Busan Regional Tax Office, Attends Meeting at Gimhae Chamber of Commerce and Industry
Explanation of 'National Tax Administration Operation Plan', Listening to Tax Administration Difficulties and Suggestions
Kim Dongil, Commissioner of the Busan Regional Tax Office, attended a tax administration meeting hosted by the Gimhae Chamber of Commerce and Industry on the 26th, where he listened to the difficulties faced by taxpayers and discussed measures to support tax administration.
The tax administration meeting was organized to facilitate active communication between local businesspeople and tax authorities, as the prolonged period of high interest rates has led to a worsening domestic market and increasing challenges for the local business community.
At the meeting, Noh Eunsik, Chairman of the Gimhae Chamber of Commerce and Industry, explained the difficult economic situation in the region and requested practical tax support measures that could benefit local businesses.
Chairman Noh also conveyed various difficulties and suggestions from local businesspeople, including expanding ESG management tax support, increasing the scope of businesses exempt from tax audits, and broadening tax support for companies undergoing business transformation or restructuring.
In response, Kim Dongil, Commissioner of the Busan Regional Tax Office, stated, "I would like to express my gratitude to the Gimhae Chamber of Commerce and Industry and local businesspeople for their unwavering commitment to job creation and faithful tax payment, serving as a strong pillar for the local economy despite challenging economic conditions. We will actively reflect the voices of taxpayers in our tax administration and support the revitalization of Gimhae's economy through tax measures."
Commissioner Kim also introduced key tax support policies, such as the automatic extension of tax payment deadlines for small and medium-sized enterprises facing management difficulties, the family business succession consulting system, the R&D tax credit pre-screening system, and the corporate tax deduction and exemption consulting system.
