Kang Suhoon, Gwangju City Council Member, Supports Livelihood Expenses for Small Business Owners in Yangdong
The Gwangju Community Chest of Korea announced on the 26th that Gwangju City Council member Kang Su-hoon secured donations from local businesses to provide 5.2 million KRW in living expenses to small business owners in Yangdong.
The handover ceremony held at Yangdong Market was attended by Council member Kang Su-hoon, Kim Yong-mok, president of the Yangdong Market Merchants Association and its executives, Park Heung-cheol, director of Gwangju Sarangui Yeolmae, and other officials. The donations will be used to support the living expenses of small business owners.
Council member Kang stated, “As the chair of the Industry and Construction Committee, I have been attentive to citizens’ safety and environmental issues and have worked to establish policies to foster strong small business owners in the Gwangju model. I have also been interested in enhancing welfare for local residents through initiatives such as one-on-one support for youth and elderly living alone.”
