Legislative Award Prize Donated as Scholarship

Yoon Jaeok, a member of the National Assembly from the People Power Party (representing Dalseo-eul, Daegu), announced on the 26th that he had donated 5 million won to the Dalseo Talent Development Scholarship Foundation to support local talent cultivation.
On May 28, Yoon Jaeok was selected as an outstanding lawmaker in two categories?Legislative Activities and Bipartisan Cooperation?at the 4th National Assembly Parliamentary Awards. To share this honor with local residents, he donated his prize money to the Dalseo Talent Development Scholarship Foundation. To date, Yoon Jaeok has contributed a total of 10 million won to the foundation.

View original imageMeanwhile, the Dalseo Talent Development Scholarship Foundation, established in 2009, has achieved its fundraising goal of 10 billion won thanks to the active support of Dalseo-gu residents in Daegu. To date, it has provided scholarships for academic advancement, academic excellence, children from low-income families, special talents, and the Dalseo Best Teacher Award. In total, 1,057 recipients have received 1.52 billion won in scholarships, and 125 million won has been given to 25 schools to strengthen educational competitiveness.
Lee Taehun, chairman of the Dalseo Talent Development Scholarship Foundation, said, "I would like to express my deep gratitude for donating such a meaningful prize to the foundation," adding, "We are thankful for the spread of a culture of giving in the community, and the entrusted scholarship funds will be used with care to foster outstanding local talent."
