In response, Minister Song said, "The government is making efforts to alleviate the management burden of the sugar industry, such as extending the raw sugar tariff quota (from 3% to 0%) that was scheduled to apply until June this year through the end of the year," and requested, "Since the international price of raw sugar has shown a downward stabilization trend after reaching its peak in November last year, please cooperate so that the decline in international raw sugar prices can be reflected in domestic product prices."
