Dongmyung University Department of Football, All 20 Participants Pass 'Survival Swimming Instructor Certification'
Dongmyung University (President Jeon Ho-hwan) announced on the 24th that all 20 first-year students from the Department of Football passed the Survival Swimming Instructor Certification Course on the 22nd.
The students completed eight hours of training at the Korea Maritime and Ocean University Maritime Training Center and Leisure Sports Center, which included water safety education and land practice, water rescue techniques and swimming skills practice, as well as basic and advanced courses for obtaining the Survival Swimming Instructor Certification. All students passed the certification evaluation with excellent results.
This program was part of the 2024 Shared University Summer Sports Curriculum, organized by the Korea Maritime and Ocean University Lifelong Education Center. About 120 students from five universities participated, including the Dongmyung University Department of Football, Pukyong National University Marine Sports Major, Dong-Eui University Leisure Sports Department, and Busan National University of Education Physical Education Department.
Professor Jin Daegeun of the Department of Football said, "It is a valuable achievement that both general students and student athletes participated together in the instructor certification course. Through this process, students from the Department of Football were able to develop a convergent mindset in sports and strengthen their physical fitness. We will continue to pursue various projects and educational programs to further enhance the professionalism and capabilities of our students."

The Dongmyung University football team won the 60th Spring University Football Federation Hansan Daecheopgi in 2024 and is currently ranked first in Zone 10 of the U-League 2.
