On the 24th, Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam conducted on-site inspections of large-scale construction sites currently undergoing major works, led by First Vice Mayor Jang Geumyong, to prepare for natural disasters during the summer season.

View original imageIn particular, the inspections focused on the following: the Private Park Development Special Project at Daesang Park and the Sapha District Urban Development Project site, both of which experienced soil runoff incidents last year. The team checked the installation and management status of temporary sedimentation ponds and drainage channels in preparation for heavy rainfall, the stability of cut and fill slopes, the implementation of comprehensive flood prevention measures on site, and safety management measures for workers against heat waves.
Vice Mayor Jang instructed that any deficiencies found during the inspection be immediately addressed by the end of June, stating, "We will do our utmost to continuously manage large-scale construction sites vulnerable to disasters to prevent any harm to the lives and property of our citizens."
