Honam University Soccer Department Participates in 2024 SOK International Integrated Sports Competition
Honam University Department of Football (Department Head Jang Jae-hoon) students Yeo Jae-min and Park Hyun-jin (3rd year), Lee Tae-hyun (2nd year), and Shin Seung-yong and Jeon Han-bin (1st year) participated in the '2024 SOK International Unified Sports Competition' held in Inje-gun, Gangwon-do from the 14th to the 16th.
Unified sports in the Special Olympics consist of five events (unified football, unified basketball, unified volleyball, unified badminton, unified floorball) where Special Olympics athletes (people with developmental disabilities) and partner athletes (non-disabled athletes) form a team to regularly train and compete together.

These students participated in Group A unified football matches, and Yeo Jae-min, who played as a partner athlete, said, "Regardless of the game results, the process of people with and without disabilities passionately participating toward a common goal is meaningful. I want to continue participating if good opportunities arise in the future."
