Police Efforts Continue to Ensure Safety of Foreign Residents
Mokpo Police Station (Chief Kim Beomsang) conducted crime prevention education targeting foreign international students.
According to Mokpo Police on the 21st, about 60 international students of various nationalities, including Vietnam and Uzbekistan, participated in the education held at Mokpo Science University.
The education focused on preventing crimes involving foreigners and helping foreign students raise awareness about drugs, voice phishing, sexual crimes, and more.

The education content also included ways to prevent situations where crimes could be committed due to misunderstandings of Korean culture and religious differences.
In particular, Vietnamese simultaneous interpretation was provided through cooperation with the university, ensuring accurate information delivery to students who speak foreign languages.
A representative of Mokpo Police Station stated, “Due to the increase in international students and the rise in crimes involving foreigners, we will continue our efforts in crime prevention education for foreigners and establishing order among foreign residents.”
Kim Beomsang, Chief of Mokpo Police Station, said, “We are doing our best to actively provide crime prevention education and maintain order for foreign international students,” adding, “We will continue to carry out customized public safety activities.”
