Active Support for Effective Business with Overseas Buyers at CES 2025

Mayor Park Hyungjun: "Support from Preparation to Participation for Unified Busan Pavilion at CES 2025"

Busan City has selected 23 local innovative companies to participate in the Integrated Busan Pavilion at CES 2025, the world's largest electronics exhibition, which will be held in Las Vegas, USA, in January 2025.

To maximize the impact of local innovative companies' participation in CES 2025, the city will install and operate the Integrated Busan Pavilion at the exhibition site in collaboration with eight departments and organizations. They recruited and selected 23 local innovative companies to participate in this pavilion.

The city will provide up to 20 million KRW in exhibition participation costs and various support programs to ensure that the 23 participating companies can effectively conduct business consultations, such as introducing their companies and products to overseas buyers at the Integrated Busan Pavilion.

The 23 companies selected to participate are: Samwon FA, Slash B Slash, Bloomsbury Lab, Gym, Core Movement, Terrenz, Cotron, K Water Craft, Maepsi, New Energy, PT Bro, Marina Chain, Sharpen Goat, Ease Communications, Ronpick, Total Soft Bank, Taki, Koai, Lab O21, Samwoo Immersion, Somuna, Elect, and CITDA.

These companies will be granted the qualification to participate in CES 2025 if they pass the final screening by the event organizer (CTA) in October.

Following this selection, the city plans to support the participating companies with various capacity-building programs for six months prior to the event, including consulting, education, and sharing exhibition participation know-how, to help them achieve outstanding results at the Integrated Busan Pavilion at CES 2025.

At 2 p.m. on the 21st, at Busan City Hotel, Busan Economic Promotion Agency, Busan Technopark, Busan IT Industry Promotion Agency, and Busan Center for Creative Economy and Innovation will hold an orientation and preliminary capacity-building training for the selected companies.

The orientation will introduce the Integrated Busan Pavilion and support programs, and share tips on exhibition participation and operation with the organizer (CTA) approved media representatives.

In July, training sessions will be held on topics such as how to discover buyers before the exhibition, effective ways to introduce companies during buyer meetings, tone and manners, and how to draft contracts for export, so that the selected companies can conduct effective business consultations at CES.

Additionally, among the 23 companies, up to five will be selected through a separate screening process for those who wish to participate. These companies will receive support in preparing investment presentation (IR) materials and pitching in English. Based on this, the companies will be able to conduct IR presentations and investment meetings (meetups) with overseas venture capitalists (VCs) at CES.

Furthermore, on-site at CES 2025, the city will support networking with global entrepreneurs and organize guided tours by field experts to enhance understanding of global technology trends by industry and sector.

Mayor Park Hyungjoon stated, "The city will spare no effort in supporting local innovative companies participating in the Integrated Busan Pavilion at CES 2025, so that they can fully showcase their capabilities on the world stage and achieve tangible results, from preparation to participation."
