Yoon In-chon Seeks Solutions to Improve Exhibition Quality in Museums and Art Galleries

Establishing the 'Basic Plan for Museums and Art Galleries' reflecting feedback
Yoo In-chon, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, will listen to on-site opinions on the establishment of the '3rd Basic Plan for Museums and Art Galleries' at the National Museum of Korea on the 20th. He will meet with museum and art gallery officials to discuss institutional improvements and exhibition and content plans. He will also seek solutions to expand opportunities for enjoying local culture through museums and art galleries.
The meeting will be attended by fifteen museum and art gallery figures, including Cho Han-hee, President of the Korean Museum Association, Park Am-jong, President of the Korean Private Museum Association, and Park Chun-soon, President of the Korean Private Art Gallery Association. The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will reflect their opinions in establishing the '3rd Basic Plan for Museums and Art Galleries.' It plans to announce strategies and key policy tasks to promote museums and art galleries over five years until 2028.

Minister Yoo said, "As the quality of cultural services desired by the public has improved, it is necessary to enhance the quality of exhibitions and content in museums and art galleries," adding, "We will strategically support them to convey the beauty of our unique culture as close to the people as possible."
