The number of foreign visitors to Japan has exceeded 3 million for three consecutive months recently, with about 730,000 Koreans visiting Japan last month, maintaining the top rank by nationality.

View original imageAccording to the statistics on foreign visitors to Japan released by the Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) on the 19th, the total number of foreign visitors to Japan last month was 3,041,000. Following March (3,081,600) and April (3,042,900), which both surpassed 3 million for the first time ever and set the record for the highest monthly number, the figure exceeded 3 million for three consecutive months.

By country and region, Koreans accounted for the largest number of foreign visitors to Japan last month, with 738,800 people. This also set a record for the highest number of Korean visitors to Japan as of May.
