Park Chunghee Birthplace Preservation Association, Jeong Jae-hwa Inaugurated as 6th Chairman
"We Will Strive to Pass on President Park Chung-hee's Achievements and Values to Future Generations"
On the 19th, the city of Gumi, North Gyeongsang Province, held the inauguration ceremony for the new and outgoing presidents of the Park Chung Hee Presidential Birthplace Preservation Association at the Park Chung Hee Presidential History Museum.
The event was attended by around 150 people, including Gumi Mayor Kim Jangho, Gumi City Council Chairman Ahn Joochan, provincial and city council members, heads of memorial organizations, and veterans' association leaders. The ceremony proceeded in the following order: presentation of a plaque of appreciation and farewell speech by outgoing President Park Dongjin, inaugural address by incoming President Jung Jaehwa, and congratulatory remarks from guests.
Park Dongjin stated, "It has been an honor to promote the preservation of the birthplace and commemorative projects in the hometown of President Park Chung Hee. I will continue to cooperate with the new president to carry on President Park's spirit."

Mayor Kim Jangho said, "I am grateful to outgoing President Park Dongjin for his excellent leadership over the past three years, and I congratulate Jung Jaehwa on his inauguration. I ask that, under new leadership, the Preservation Association actively take the lead in inheriting and developing President Park's legacy."
The Park Chung Hee Presidential Birthplace Preservation Association provides convenience to visitors through the operation and management of the birthplace, and makes efforts to preserve and promote the birthplace by organizing annual memorial and birthday events for President Park Chung Hee.
