Amorepacific Museum of Art Develops 'Joseon Royal Heritage Project' Activities with Domestic and International Institutions
Memorandum of Understanding between National Palace Museum, Gyeonggi Ceramic Museum, Cleveland Museum of Art, and Denver Art Museum
Amorepacific Museum of Art announced on the 18th that it will carry out activities to widely promote the Joseon Royal Heritage in collaboration with domestic and international institutions.

On the 14th, Amorepacific Museum of Art signed a business agreement for the 'Joseon Royal Heritage Project' at the National Palace Museum of Korea together with the National Palace Museum of Korea, Gyeonggi Ceramic Museum, the Cleveland Museum of Art, and the Denver Art Museum in the United States. The agreement was made to establish a mutual cooperative relationship regarding the exhibition, research, and utilization of the Joseon Royal Heritage.
The main contents of the agreement include ▲ mutual cooperation in exhibitions, education, programs, and research related to the Joseon Royal Heritage ▲ joint planning of events, publications, and promotions utilizing the Joseon Royal Heritage ▲ exchange and cooperation of human and material resources among the five institutions. According to this business agreement, the five institutions will sequentially carry out various programs related to the Joseon Royal family over the next three years.
This project was planned to inform a wider domestic and international audience about the cultural heritage and research achievements related to the Joseon Royal family accumulated by each institution.
It is expected that the project will enhance the historical value of the Joseon Royal Heritage. To this end, various cooperative projects such as exhibitions, lectures and seminars, field trips, and book publications themed on the Joseon Royal family will be promoted.
Amorepacific has been striving domestically and internationally to promote Korea’s unique and beautiful culture through the Amorepacific Museum of Art. Since 2011, it has sponsored the acquisition of Korean contemporary art works by the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) in the United States, and since 2018, it has supported the conservation and restoration project of Korean painting artifacts held by the British Museum.
In addition, to promote Korea’s traditional cultural heritage worldwide, it has sponsored special exhibitions at the Asian Art Museum of San Francisco and programs at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
