Open Edge Technology Establishes Japanese Corporation and R&D Center
Focus on Developing Memory Controller Technology
OpenEdge Technology, a semiconductor intellectual property (IP) company, announced on the 18th that it has established a local subsidiary and a research and development (R&D) center in Tokyo, Japan. This expansion follows the opening of a sales office in Yokohama last year to grow its business in Japan.
The newly established R&D center will primarily focus on developing Double Data Rate (DDR) memory controller technology. This controller plays a role in prioritizing and managing the high-speed data exchanged between the system-on-chip (SoC) and DRAM.
OpenEdge stated, "This decision was made considering the characteristics and demands of the Japanese market," adding, "Through innovation in this technology, we plan to further strengthen our competitiveness not only in Japan but also in the global market."
