[Invest&Law] Kwangjang Holds Seminar on 'Harmonious Development Plan for Personal Information and Financial Information Regulatory Systems'
Law firm Kwangjang (Chief Attorney Kim Sang-gon) held a special seminar on the theme of "Harmonious Development Plans for Personal Information and Financial Information Regulatory Systems" at 10 a.m. on the 19th in the Academia Room on the 1st floor of the new building of Law firm Kwangjang in Jung-gu, Seoul, together with the Personal Information Experts Association and the Financial Security Institute.
This seminar was organized to commemorate the signing of a business agreement (MOU) between the two organizations. It was also broadcast live online for about two hours through the video conferencing platform Zoom.
At this seminar, numerous experts related to finance and personal information attended to discuss ▲ personal information regulatory issues that financial institutions should be aware of ▲ compliance response measures in the financial sector ▲ legal and policy challenges for the development of the MyData system and ecosystem.
The seminar was moderated by Kwak Jeong-min, the chief spokesperson of the association, and attended by Choi Kyung-jin, president of the association; Kwon Dae-young, secretary general of the Financial Services Commission; Kim Cheol-woong, president of the Financial Security Institute; and Kim Sang-gon (56, Judicial Research and Training Institute class 23), chief attorney of Kwangjang.
In the keynote session, Choi Jang-hyuk, vice chairman of the Personal Information Protection Commission, gave a presentation on "MyData and the Development of the Data Ecosystem."
Following this, Ko Kyu-man, head of the Personal Information Planning Team at the Financial Security Institute, introduced "Personal Information Protection Act Issues Financial Institutions Should Be Aware Of," and Son Kyung-min (41, class 37), attorney at Kwangjang, presented "Compliance Response Measures for the Personal Information Protection Act in the Financial Sector."
Finally, an expert panel discussion was held on the theme of "Development of the Personal Information, Financial Information, and MyData Ecosystem."
