Putin to Visit North Korea Tomorrow Invited by Kim Jong-un... First Time in 24 Years
Russian President Vladimir Putin will visit North Korea on the 18th and 19th.
The Kremlin officially announced on the 17th that President Putin will make a state visit to North Korea for one night and two days starting on the 18th, at the invitation of North Korean State Affairs Commission Chairman Kim Jong-un. This visit is a reciprocal visit following the Russia-North Korea summit held last September at the Vostochny Cosmodrome in the Russian Far East, and it is Putin's first visit to North Korea in 24 years since July 19-20, 2000.
This will be the third time President Putin and Chairman Kim meet in person, including the Russia-North Korea summit in Vladivostok, Russia, in April 2019.
North Korea's Korean Central News Agency also announced President Putin's visit simultaneously with Russia.
