Ministry of Science and ICT to Conduct StageX Hearing Procedures Starting from the 25th
The government will begin a hearing procedure on the 25th to make a final decision after hearing the opinion of StageX, whose qualification as the fourth mobile carrier candidate is set to be revoked.
According to the telecommunications industry on the 17th, the Ministry of Science and ICT notified StageX of the hearing procedure and schedule. It is known that a certain lawyer has been appointed as the hearing presider.
The Ministry of Science and ICT holds the position that the capital formation claimed by StageX is not trustworthy.
On the 14th, the ministry announced the cancellation of the candidate qualification, citing that if the capital stated in the company's 28GHz frequency allocation application is not properly secured, the payment of the remaining allocation fee of 387 billion KRW, facility investment, marketing, and other business operations would be uncertain.
During the hearing process, the government will listen to StageX's position, prepare a hearing record, and allow the business operator to review it. Subsequently, the cancellation of the candidate qualification will be decided based on the final opinion of the hearing presider.
