Jin Jeong-seok Urges "Medical Community to Listen to Public Appeals" Amid Treatment Refusals

Jung Jin-seok, Chief of Staff to the President, on the 16th, urged the medical community, which has announced a collective refusal to provide medical services, to "listen to the appeals of the people and make a wise decision."
At a high-level ruling party-government meeting held at the Prime Minister's residence in Samcheong-dong that day, Chief Jung stated, "Patients and their families are anxious and trembling with fear that they may not receive appropriate medical treatment."
He continued, "President Yoon Seok-yeol returned early this morning after his tour of the three Central Asian countries," and explained, "Amid the global supply chain crisis, we achieved significant results by strengthening cooperation with the three resource-rich Central Asian countries in energy plants and critical minerals."
Chief Jung said, "We exported the high-speed train developed with our technology for the first time, secured full cooperation on the K (K)-Silk Road initiative, and also gained support for North Korea's denuclearization," emphasizing, "The Presidential Office will make every effort to ensure that these achievements are maximized through follow-up measures."

He also mentioned, "We had a meaningful time listening to the wisdom and insights of former Chiefs of Staff to the President from the Kim Dae-jung administration to the Yoon Seok-yeol administration," and conveyed, "I emphasized that politics of dialogue and compromise must be restored for the recovery of people’s livelihoods and the economy."
