"Promoting Public Health" ... Changwon Facilities Corporation Launches 'Visiting Health Manager' Program
Changwon Facilities Management Corporation in Gyeongnam received positive feedback by operating the 'Visiting Health Manager' program to promote citizens' health.
The 'Visiting Health Manager' provides various health checkups and exercise prescription services by visiting event venues with large gatherings of citizens or remote areas where it is difficult to access sports centers.
On the 15th, the corporation conducted basic medical interviews, physical fitness tests, customized exercise prescriptions, body alignment programs, and a metabolic syndrome campaign for citizens in front of Changwon Indoor Gymnasium, where the '2024 Changwon Special City Citizens' Harmony Sports Festival' was held.
This 'Visiting Health Manager' service was carried out by deploying about 40 staff members, including exercise prescription specialists and nurses working at the corporation's sports facilities, as well as professionals from the Gyeongnam branch of the Korean Physical Therapy Association.
In particular, it received positive responses from citizens by scientifically analyzing and providing information on the type, intensity, duration, and period of exercise suitable for each individual's health condition.
Going forward, the corporation plans to expand the operation of the 'Visiting Health Manager' program to include not only residents of remote areas but also vulnerable groups such as multicultural families and at-risk youth.
