Hanwha Asset Management's Aerospace ETF Surpasses 60 Billion KRW in Net Assets
Hanwha Asset Management announced on the 14th that the net asset value of the 'ARIRANG Aerospace & UAM iSelect' Exchange Traded Fund (ETF) has surpassed 60 billion KRW.
As of the 11th of this month, the net asset value of 'ARIRANG Aerospace & UAM iSelect' was approximately 60.2 billion KRW. Notably, from the end of May to early June, the net asset value increased significantly from about 30 billion KRW to around 60 billion KRW, showing a substantial growth rate.
The performance is also excellent. The recent cumulative returns of 'ARIRANG Aerospace & UAM iSelect' are 16.85% over 6 months, 20.26% over 1 year, and 11.34% year-to-date.
This performance is attributed to the anticipation surrounding the Aerospace Administration launched on the 27th of last month. The government has announced plans to expand the space development budget to over 1.5 trillion KRW by 2027 and to lead investments totaling 100 trillion KRW by 2045, demonstrating a strong commitment to fostering the space industry through comprehensive support.
Hanwha Asset Management expects that the establishment of the Aerospace Administration will accelerate a virtuous cycle and investment, linking 'government policy expansion → corporate performance improvement.'
The recently growing low Earth orbit satellite industry is expected to be utilized in various fields such as autonomous vehicles integrated with AI using ultra-high-speed communication technology, urban air mobility (UAM), military reconnaissance satellites, and climate observation, contributing to the actual revenue growth of related companies.
