Come Visit the 'Village Enterprise Cooperative Market' at Bomun Shopping District in Gyeongju... 23 Businesses Participating
Gyeongbuk Province will hold the "2024 Gyeongsangbuk-do Village Enterprise Value Economy Coexistence Market" for two days from the 15th to the 16th at the Bomun Complex Shopping Center in Gyeongju.
The Coexistence Market is held on-site by region in the first and second halves of the year to increase the participation of village enterprises and strengthen direct interactions with consumers, with the main focus on bringing village enterprises closer into consumers' daily lives.
The first half Coexistence Market is expected to be an opportunity to showcase the charm of Gyeongbuk village enterprises not only to local residents but also to tourists from across the country by being held at Bomun Complex, a famous tourist destination in Gyeongju.
This Coexistence Market will feature 23 village enterprises from Gyeongbuk, operating 26 booths including promotional and sales booths (agricultural and livestock products, seafood, processed foods, etc.), experience booths (cooking, clay), a Gyeongbuk village enterprise tourism promotion zone (information on accommodation and experiences such as Hanok stays and campsites), cultural performances, and prize events.
The promotional and sales booths are composed of products carefully prepared by the village enterprises themselves using ingredients grown or produced locally, with a selection designed to appeal to people of all ages.

Meanwhile, under the slogan "Going to Meet the Village," a village enterprise tourism promotion zone will also be operated to introduce village travel programs. Each village's unique experience and accommodation programs are expected to resonate with consumers preparing for distinctive domestic travel.
Choi Youngsook, Director of Economic and Industrial Affairs of Gyeongbuk Province, stated, "Gyeongbuk village enterprises have created regionally tailored jobs and fulfilled public missions to solve local issues," adding, "Gyeongbuk Province will continue to support village enterprises with various promotional and market expansion initiatives so that they can maintain a virtuous cycle of business performance and public value."
