Much attention was focused on 'Eclipseberry', who was aiming for a sweep of the Triple Tiara series after consecutive wins in the Luna Stakes (L) in March and the Korean Oaks (G2) in May. 'Seiren' entered the betting board as the 7th favorite out of 8 horses.
Jockey Jang Chu-yeol said, "I haven't ridden this horse many times, but I always felt there was something missing in the final stretch. This time, I kept her close to the front and didn't give up until the very end on the home straight, and she responded by running even harder," expressing his gratitude to the horse.
Trainer Ahn Hae-yang stated, "I knew the horse had improved, but I never expected a win. She had always lost to strong colts before, but since this was a filly-only race and the distance was longer, I anticipated there might be some variables. I think our strategy of coming from behind worked out well," sharing his thoughts on the victory.
