Daejeon City Tours Nationwide to Promote 'Midnight Festival' Intensively
Promotion at Seoul Plaza, Boryeong Mud Festival Site, and Hanwha Eagles Away Stadium

View original imageDaejeon City announced that it will hold the ‘Daejeon Bread Truck’ nationwide tour event at locations such as Seoul Plaza, Boryeong Mud Festival site, and Hanwha Eagles away game stadium to successfully host the ‘Midnight Festival’ and promote the Kkumssi Family.
At this event, participants can enjoy various activities including roulette games and OX quizzes about Daejeon travel destinations and festivals, nostalgic lottery draws, self-photo content called Life Shots, and the Kkumdori mascot costume. Upon completing the event, participants can also receive Seongsimdang bread and Kkumssi Family merchandise.
The first nationwide tour will take place on the 18th at Seoul Plaza. The event will be held in collaboration with the Daejeon Tourism Organization’s mobile Kkumdori promotion center, featuring large Kkumdori and Family character sculptures to offer unique attractions.
Following this, starting with the Hanwha Eagles’ away game against the Gwangju Kia Tigers on the 23rd, the tour will accompany away games in Busan (June 30), Seoul (July 9), and others, distributing small souvenirs and promoting the ‘Daejeon Midnight Festival’.
From July 19 to 20, the tour will visit the Boryeong Mud Festival, which has become a world-renowned festival, adding fun with EDM DJing and other activities to capture the attention of foreign tourists and visitors.
About 20 members of Daejeon City’s global supporters and social media reporters will also join the tour to promote the ‘Midnight Festival’ and the charms of Daejeon.
Lee Jang-woo, Mayor of Daejeon, stated, “Through this ‘Daejeon Bread Truck’ tour event, we aim to imprint the image of Daejeon as a city full of fun and build brand value that will help the ‘Midnight Festival’ leap into a world-class festival.”

Meanwhile, this year’s ‘Daejeon Midnight Festival’ will be held from August 9 to 17 along Jungang-ro and the original downtown area of Daejeon.
