KOTRA and the Korea Productivity Center (KPC) announced on the 13th that they held the "EcoVadis Evaluation Response Workshop" jointly with EcoVadis SAS at KOTRA headquarters in Yeomgok-dong, Seoul the previous day.

The workshop consisted of ▲features of the EcoVadis evaluation model and response strategies ▲global supply chain evaluation trends ▲related KOTRA support projects ▲case studies of EcoVadis Platinum-rated companies (top 1%). As a side event, on-site consultations were held by Econine, the official education partner of EcoVadis, GSC Global Standard Certification Institute, and AMS Management Consulting.
In addition to this workshop, KOTRA and KPC are collaborating with EcoVadis to jointly enhance the Korean-language evaluation questions so that domestic companies can easily and conveniently participate in the EcoVadis evaluation, and are working on improving the overall evaluation environment by producing evaluation guides that consider domestic regulations and circumstances.
An Wanki, Chairman of KPC, said in his opening remarks, "With the European Union approving the EU Supply Chain Due Diligence Directive last April, ESG management is once again in the spotlight," adding, "KPC and others are striving to ensure that domestic export companies can receive stable ESG and supply chain evaluations." He emphasized, "We will take the lead in building an ESG ecosystem so that domestic consulting firms, educational institutions, and public organizations can provide more practical and systematic on-site support to trading companies."
