Wincle, Blue Wing Motors Collaborate on Blue Cambodia Project Joint Venture
Cambodia Government's Electric Motorcycle Transition Project
Winkle announced on the 12th that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Blue Wing Motors to promote a carbon reduction demonstration project in Blue Cambodia.
The Cambodian government has established a policy to convert 30% of approximately 5.5 million motorcycles to electric motorcycles to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050.
The Blue Cambodia project is a business that converts Cambodia's fuel motorcycles into electric motorcycles using the electrification kit developed by Blue Wing Motors. The two companies plan to actively cooperate based on their core competencies and technological capabilities to develop carbon credits that recognize and trade the greenhouse gases reduced through this process as carbon credits.

Using this kit, existing fuel motorcycles can be easily transformed into electric motorcycles. The K-Conversion Kit consists of essential components required for motorcycle electrification and OBD (On-Board Diagnostic) equipment for two-wheeler management and control. Based on the big data collected through this, the company is also conducting a business to measure carbon reduction amounts and voluntarily convert them into carbon credits.
Winkle is a carbon solution company established in 2022 by experts in climate policy, platforms and blockchain, consulting, and other fields. It operates a marketplace that secures high-quality voluntary carbon credits and supplies them to the market. Additionally, it plans to open a carbon emission monitoring service within the year, providing corporate clients with a one-stop service to calculate, manage, and offset their carbon emissions.
Seonghoon Park, CEO of Winkle, said, “The Blue Cambodia project, which converts fuel motorcycles into electric motorcycles, is a very effective carbon reduction project,” and added, “Winkle will continuously support Blue Wing Motors' project as a sales channel for the carbon credits generated from the project.”
