Lotte GRS, which operates the burger franchise brand Lotteria, announced on the 12th that the 'Ojingeo Alive Burger' has sold more than 700,000 units within 11 days since its release on the 30th of last month. This figure is approximately 27% higher than the cumulative sales of 550,000 units over two weeks for the Wang Donkatsu Burger released in February.
The Ojingeo Alive Burger sparked a lot of curiosity among customers even before its launch. On the day of release, it surpassed Lotteria's best seller, the 'Bulgogi Burger,' achieving the highest sales composition ratio.
On the day of release, the actual in-store sales volume of the Ojingeo Alive Burger was more than twice the expected sales, achieving about 300% of the sales target and creating an effect of increasing sales at both directly operated and franchised stores.
Sales revenue and customer count on the release day increased by approximately 34% and 30%, respectively, compared to the previous year, and before some stores experienced stockouts, sales and customer count showed increases of 17% and 16%, respectively, compared to the previous year until the 7th.
To minimize customer inconvenience caused by stockouts, Lotte GRS decided to limit the quantity of raw materials delivered to each store. It is also expected that the sales end date will be adjusted after nationwide sales resume on the 24th.
