Seongbuk-gu, Seoul (Mayor Lee Seung-ro) announced on the 10th that it signed a business agreement with KEPCO MCS Co., Ltd. Gangbuk Seongbuk Branch at the mayor's office on the 6th floor of Seongbuk-gu Office to discover welfare blind spots and prevent solitary deaths.
KEPCO MCS Co., Ltd. Gangbuk Seongbuk Branch (Branch Manager Yoon Sang-sik) agreed to actively cooperate in identifying households in crisis located in welfare blind spots within the Seongbuk-gu area, and Seongbuk-gu promised to do its best to support the reported households, marking a meaningful occasion.
Electricity meter reading and safety inspection workers check the electricity usage details of households in their jurisdiction every month, and since they visit every household in Seongbuk-gu, it is expected to greatly help in identifying vulnerable groups such as those with overdue electricity bills, power disconnections, or sudden crises.
Mayor Lee Seung-ro stated, “This agreement is meaningful in that it established a constant reporting system by utilizing workers in daily life-related occupations, and we will strive to ensure that households identified through them can receive counseling and support promptly.”
