Selection of Citizen Charter Keywords such as Future, Balance, and Innovation
Over 6,200 Citizens Participate in Keyword Contest
'Future, Balance, Innovation.' These are the keywords of the Citizen Charter selected through the participation of citizens in Hwaseong City, Gyeonggi Province, which is set to launch as a special city next year.
On the 10th, Hwaseong City announced on the 11th that it held the 2nd meeting of the '1 Million Special City Preparation Committee' at the Hwaseong City Workers' Welfare Center seminar room. This meeting was organized to select the core keywords for the establishment of the Hwaseong Special City Citizen Charter and to discover special administrative tasks.

At the meeting, the city shared with the committee members the importance of establishing the Special City Citizen Charter and the procedures for its promotion. The committee members selected future-oriented keywords such as ▲Future ▲Balance ▲Innovation, as well as keywords emphasizing citizens' harmony and cooperation such as ▲Sharing ▲Inclusion ▲Community. The city plans to establish the Special City Citizen Charter based on the keywords and opinions directly proposed by the citizens.
Earlier, from April to this month, a total of 6,216 citizens participated in the contest for core keywords of the Special City Citizen Charter, proposing 1,486 keywords, showing high interest, the city explained.
Starting this month, the city will also recruit 'Hwaseong Special City Supporters.' The supporters will carry out various activities such as producing the Citizen Charter and organizing the launch ceremony. In October, discussions and lectures will be held to enhance citizens' understanding of the special city.

Park Hyung-il, Director of Communication Administration of Hwaseong City, said, "Thanks to the active participation and interest of the preparation committee, preparations for the special city are progressing smoothly," and added, "We will do our best for the successful launch of the special city in January next year."
