NC Launches Battlecrush, Proving 'Willingness to Change' Through Genre Diversification
Popular Brawler Fighting Action in North America
Targeting Domestic and International Markets with Cross-Play Support
NCSoft will release the brawler action game ‘BATTLE CRUSH’ on the 27th.
According to NCSoft on the 11th, BATTLE CRUSH will start early access service targeting 100 countries worldwide. NCSoft revealed the release date and began pre-registration at the global game show ‘Summer Game Fest 2024 (SGF 2024)’ held in Los Angeles, USA, on the 7th.
BATTLE CRUSH is a brawler action game where players fight to be the last one standing amid shrinking terrain and enemies over time. It features simple controls, strategic combat using terrain and objects, various game modes supporting up to 30 players, and characters inspired by mythological figures.
It also supports cross-play across platforms such as Nintendo Switch, Steam, and mobile, allowing players to switch between different control methods.
BATTLE CRUSH is regarded as an IP symbolizing NCSoft’s willingness to change, including console entry, genre diversification, and expansion of the global user base. Expectations are high in both domestic and international markets. In particular, the combat action genre is popular mainly in North America. In Korea, it was showcased at G-STAR last November, providing an opportunity for direct play, and received favorable reviews from gamers for its easy controls and fast tempo.
Starting with BATTLE CRUSH, NCSoft plans to release 10 new titles by next year. This year, they plan to launch the collection RPG ‘Project BSS.’ Next year, they will release eight new titles including Aion 2, Project G, and LLL.
