Air Force 1st Combat Wing Personnel Sweat It Out Supporting Rural Community Labor Assistance
The Air Force 1st Fighter Wing announced on the 10th that it visited an onion farming household in Munpyeong-myeon, Naju-si, Jeollanam-do, to provide rural labor support as part of its community assistance efforts.
This community support was carried out to help nearby farms struggling with labor shortages during the busy farming season and to strengthen ties with the local community.
On that day, more than 40 soldiers from the 1st Fighter Wing who participated in the rural labor support worked diligently, sweating under the intensifying heat, to assist local farmers. They supported the onion harvesting work on approximately 2,000 square meters of farmland.
Corporal Yang Ji-seok said, “Since it was my first time doing this work, I was cautious, and the hot weather made it tough, but I felt rewarded by the farmers’ words of thanks. Although it was a small effort, it was a valuable and fulfilling experience to be able to help the local community.”
