Jeonnam Fire Department Conducts 'Special Fire Safety Inspections' for Guesthouses and Pensions Ahead of Vacation Season
The Jeonnam Fire Headquarters (Chief Oh Seung-hoon) is making efforts to ensure that tourists visiting Jeonnam can have a safe vacation ahead of the summer holiday season.
Jeonnam Fire announced on the 10th that it will conduct a "Special Fire Safety Inspection" targeting 207 guesthouses and pension facilities until the 10th of next month.
To prevent safety accidents such as fires during the holiday season, joint inspections with related organizations and safety consulting for stakeholders will be promoted.
The Fire Headquarters, fire safety investigation teams from fire stations, city and county tourism departments, and the Korea Electrical Safety Corporation will cooperate to provide safety guidance, fire extinguisher usage training, and first aid education to users and managers of guesthouses and pension facilities.
The main inspection items include ▲ maintenance and management status of fire facilities such as fire extinguishers and detectors ▲ inspection of fire vulnerability factors in aging electrical and gas facilities ▲ confirmation of emergency exit closures or locks, and obstacles placed on evacuation stairs.
