Kim Namsu, Director of External Cooperation at Dongui University, Elected President of Korea University Public Relations Association

Kim Namsu, Head of External Cooperation at Dong-Eui University, was elected as the 27th president at the 2024 Annual General Meeting of the Korea University Public Relations Association held at Sono Belle Jeju on May 29. His term will run for one year, from August 1, 2024, to July 31, 2025.

President-elect Kim has worked at the Dong-Eui University Broadcasting Academy, the Public Relations Team, the Center for Teaching and Learning Development, and the Career Support Team. He is currently serving as the Head of the External Cooperation Team at Dong-Eui University and as the regional president of the Korea University Public Relations Association for the Busan, Ulsan, Gyeongnam, and Jeju regions.

Namsoo Kim, Head of the Conference Cooperation Team at Dong-Eui University, appointed as President of the Korea University Public Relations Council.

President Kim stated, "The development of universities has a significant impact on the future of the nation. I will listen to and share the valuable opinions of the association members, who serve as communication channels within and outside their universities, so that universities across the country can grow together."

He added, "As the coming era is expected to place great importance on the ability to utilize artificial intelligence, I will focus on fostering a university public relations culture that combines AI with a spirit of positivity and laughter."

The Korea University Public Relations Association was established on July 11, 1997, with the aim of advancing university public relations in Korea, enhancing university competitiveness, and strengthening information sharing and solidarity among PR officers. More than 200 PR officers from four-year universities are members, and the association operates six regional councils: Gyeonggi-Incheon-Gangwon, Daegu-Gyeongbuk, Daejeon-Chungcheong, Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam-Jeju, Seoul, and Honam.

On the same day, Lim Donghyun, Head of Public Relations at Keukdong University, and Lee Jinhun, Head of Public Relations at Soongsil University, were each elected as auditors of the Korea University Public Relations Association.
