Gwangju City Election Commission Operates Democracy Election Classroom Visiting Schools
The Gwangju Metropolitan City Election Commission announced on the 10th that it operated the 'Democracy Election Classroom Visiting Schools'.
The election classroom is a civic education program aimed at enhancing understanding of the election system and fostering future voters as active democratic citizens.
It was conducted for 108 elementary school students at Suchang Elementary School on the 3rd and 10th, and Daeja Elementary School on the 7th.
Education is scheduled at 22 classes in 8 elementary schools until September.
The program will include various activities such as learning democracy through games, mock voting and counting experiences, and students writing and debating actual policies and pledges.

A representative of the Gwangju Election Commission said, “Through the election classroom, students will be able to understand how democracy learned in textbooks is actually applied in our society,” and added, “We will strive to help students grow into mature democratic citizens through diverse experiences.”
