Pyeongtaek City "Apply for 2nd Quarter Youth Basic Income"
Applications Accepted Until the 28th
Pyeongtaek City in Gyeonggi Province is accepting applications for the second quarter of the Youth Basic Income program, which guarantees the social basic rights of young people, until the 28th of this month.
Eligible applicants are those born between April 2, 1999, and April 1, 2000, who currently have their resident registration in Gyeonggi Province and have continuously lived there for more than three years or have a total residence period in Gyeonggi Province of more than ten years.
Applications can be submitted through the Gyeonggi Province Job Support Project integrated application system "Jobaba" by attaching a resident registration transcript issued after May 30. After screening, payments will be made in the form of card-type local currency starting from July 20. The Youth Basic Income provides 250,000 KRW per quarter, supporting up to 1,000,000 KRW per person annually.
Applicants who missed applying in the previous quarter but met the residence requirements during that quarter can apply retroactively within this application period. However, even those who agreed to automatic application must update their information within the application period if there are any changes in personal information.
The received local currency can be used at traditional markets and small business establishments within the jurisdiction. However, usage is restricted at department stores, large supermarkets, corporate supermarkets (SSM), entertainment establishments, and stores with annual sales exceeding 1 billion KRW.
