Ozone Warning Issued for Three Northwestern Seoul Districts: Eunpyeong, Seodaemun, and Mapo
At 4 PM on the 9th, an ozone advisory was issued for three districts in the northwest area of Seoul.
According to the Korea Environment Corporation under the Ministry of Environment, the affected areas are Eunpyeong-gu, Seodaemun-gu, and Mapo-gu.
The hourly average ozone concentration in the advisory areas recorded 0.1256 ppm (parts per million) as of 4 PM.
Previously, an ozone advisory had also been issued for four districts in the southeast area.
An ozone advisory is issued when the 1-hour average ozone (O₃) concentration in the air is 0.12 ppm or higher; an ozone warning is issued at 0.30 ppm or higher; and an ozone severe warning is issued at 0.50 ppm or higher.
