YGPA Promotes Yeosu Port Cruise Linked to 'Korea Theme Tourism Expo'
Overseas Cruise Lines and Travel Agencies Targeted
Promotion of Yeosu Port and Cruise Attraction Activities Underway
Yeosu Gwangyang Port Authority (President Park Seong-hyun, hereinafter YGPA) announced on the 7th that it participated in the 'Korea Travel Fair 2024' held at Ananti Hotel in Busan to promote Yeosu Port and attract cruises.
Hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and organized by the Korea Tourism Organization, this event is a specialized cruise fair attended by 60 overseas buyers from 18 countries in the cruise, sports, and luxury sectors, as well as over 100 domestic related companies. At this fair, YGPA held business consultations together with related organizations such as Yeosu City and Jeonnam Tourism Foundation to promote Yeosu Port.
YGPA conducted consultations with major cruise lines such as MSC, Carnival, Seabourn, Tauck, and Viking Cruises to attract cruises to Yeosu Port. They actively promoted the port’s advantages, including cruise berth conditions capable of accommodating large vessels over 150,000 tons, tourism resources in the Yeosu, Suncheon, and Gwangyang areas, and support measures from related organizations following cruise arrivals.

President Park Seong-hyun of YGPA stated, "We will actively promote Yeosu Port through marketing activities to attract international cruises and strive to make it a destination sought by cruise lines." He added, "Through continuous cooperation with related organizations, we will work hard to attract cruise tourists to Yeosu and contribute to revitalizing the local economy."
