Preparing Diverse Science Experience Events to Captivate Family Tourists
Suncheon City, Jeollanam-do (Mayor Noh Gwan-gyu) announced that Suncheonman Astronomical Observatory was recently selected for the “2024 Dodream Project” organized by the Korea Science Museum Association and the “Jeonnam Science Culture Support Project” organized by Jeonnam Technopark.
The 2024 Dodream Project is a customized science program serving as a traveling science museum for local children and youth. In July, Suncheonman Astronomical Observatory plans to offer various science culture experience events, including hands-on activities, lectures, science magic shows, and special experiences linked with the National Science Museum and the Creative Foundation.

It will provide family visitors with memorable experiences such as nighttime astronomical observations, star photography using smartphones, and lectures connecting astronomy and culture.
A representative of Suncheonman Astronomical Observatory stated, “Suncheon, where even astronauts visit, holds a very special meaning as the observatory waits for astronauts while gazing at the starlight,” adding, “We will do our best to help many people develop an interest in astronomy and nurture scientific curiosity through various science experience programs.”
