Lee Hwa-yeop, Director of the Agricultural Technology Center, stated, “Due to recent abnormal weather conditions, agricultural product yields have decreased, and many farmers are struggling with reduced demand and falling prices of maesil, Gwangyang’s representative agricultural product. Through this maesil promotion event, we will revitalize the consumer market and make every effort in production area distribution and marketing so that the premium maesil produced by Gwangyang farmers through hard work can receive fair prices and secure stable farm income.”
