LG Electronics Hosts K-Culture Experience Event for Future Generations in France
Brand Activities Expanded Through Games Garner Local Enthusiasm
LG Electronics' 'Life's Good' brand activities held in Paris, France, using games and K-culture as a medium, received positive responses from European YG (Young Generation) consumers.
LG Electronics announced on the 5th that it recently held an event themed 'Life's Good, Let's Play' at 'Espot Paris,' the largest esports stadium in Europe, in collaboration with the Korean Cultural Center in France, where participants experienced LG Electronics' innovative technology and K-culture.
Visitors to the event enjoyed games using LG Electronics' high-performance gaming monitor, 'LG UltraGear,' while receiving coaching from famous game influencers. They also participated in traditional games popularized by K-content, such as Dalgona game and Ttakji-chigi, broadly experiencing Korea's gaming culture spanning past and present.
In particular, the main event featuring Korean game influencers, including YouTubers and former professional gamers, attracted about 2,000 spectators and gained popularity. On the first day, game content creator Kang Chanyong (nickname Ambition), a former League of Legends (LoL) world champion, held a conference highlighting Korean esports. On the evening of the second day, a LoL match was held between the Korean All-Star team composed of former professional gamers and the French esports team 'Karmine Corp,' which has a partnership with LG Electronics.
Along with this event, LG Electronics is participating in the 'Korean Games' special exhibition operated by the Korean Cultural Center in France until October 5, presenting an exhibition titled 'Republic of Korea, History of the World's Esports Leader.' The exhibition introduces the history of Korea's esports industry, a gaming powerhouse, along with video materials related to 'Gen.G Esports,' an esports company partnered with LG Electronics.
LG Electronics plans to solidify its premium brand status in the rapidly growing European gaming market through continuous communication with YG consumers. According to market research firm FMI, the Western European gaming monitor market is expected to grow at an average annual rate of about 6%, reaching approximately $1.16 billion by 2033.
