A 'Pet Theme Park' to be Established in Northern Gyeonggi... Applications Open Until July 8
A pet theme park will be established in the northern region of Gyeonggi Province.
Gyeonggi Province announced on the 5th that it will create a pet theme park in the northern area so that residents can enjoy leisure and relaxation with their pets, and is conducting an open recruitment until July 8th targeting 10 cities and counties.
The pet theme park to be promoted in the northern region will be the fourth such facility in the province, following the eastern region Yeoju, the western region Hwaseong, and the southern region Osan.
The facilities that local governments participating in the public contest must have include a pet-related cultural center, pet adoption center, dog playground, and walking trails. Service facilities such as pet-friendly campgrounds, pet cafes, dog pools, and animal funeral facilities can be optionally installed depending on the conditions of each city or county.
The target for the public contest is 10 cities and counties within the northern region, and one city or county selected as a suitable site will receive budget support for the construction of the pet theme park facilities and infrastructure (roads, electricity, telecommunications, etc.).
Gyeonggi Province will select one final city or county by comprehensively reviewing whether the application requirements are met, site conditions, and feasibility through document screening, on-site evaluation, and face-to-face evaluation based on the business participation application. The total project cost is 15 billion KRW, of which 7.5 billion KRW will be supported by the provincial government.
