All-in-One International Livestock Distribution Information... KAPE Publishes '2023 Overseas Livestock Information'
The Livestock Products Quality Evaluation Institute announced on the 4th that it has published the '2023 Overseas Livestock Information' booklet to help livestock industry workers understand overseas livestock distribution trends.
According to the booklet, Japan's pork distribution volume is 1.83 million tons, with production at 901,000 tons, resulting in a self-sufficiency rate of 48.3%. In the United States, pork production exceeded consumption, producing 12.252 million tons and consuming 9.957 million tons, achieving a self-sufficiency rate of 123.0%. The European Union (EU) pig farming industry constitutes the largest sector within livestock products, with pork production at 22.07 million tons, accounting for 40-50% of meat consumption.
