June CSAT Mock Exam: 28,610 Test Takers in Gyeongnam
58,270 Students from 163 High Schools Participate in National Joint Assessment
A total of 28,610 test-takers in the Gyeongnam region will take the June mock test for the 2025 College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT) on the 4th.
On the same day, 58,270 first- and second-year high school students in Gyeongnam will participate in the June National Academic Achievement Assessment.
According to the Gyeongnam Office of Education on the 3rd, 27,042 current students, graduates, and GED holders from 168 high schools in the province will take this June mock CSAT.
In 21 private academy test centers in the Changwon, Jinju, Gimhae, and Yangsan test districts, 1,568 graduates will take the exam.
For the National Academic Achievement Assessment, 28,551 first-year students and 29,713 second-year students from 163 high schools will solve the test questions.
The CSAT mock test is conducted to help test-takers adapt to the CSAT system, diagnose and supplement their academic abilities, and establish strategies for college admissions.
It is administered twice a year, in June and September, by the Korea Institute for Curriculum and Evaluation, and is operated in the same way as the 2025 CSAT scheduled for November 14.
The test subjects are Korean, Mathematics, English, Korean History, Inquiry (Social Studies, Science, Vocational), and Second Foreign Language/Chinese Characters.
Korean History is a mandatory subject that all test-takers must take, while the other subjects are optional.
In line with the CSAT system, Korean and Mathematics are structured as common plus elective subjects. For Korean, students must choose one between 'Speech and Composition' and 'Language and Media'; for Mathematics, one among 'Probability and Statistics', 'Calculus', and 'Geometry'.
For the Inquiry (Social Studies/Science) area, up to two subjects can be chosen regardless of academic track.

Scores will be graded by the Korea Institute for Curriculum and Evaluation in the same way as the actual CSAT, and individual score reports and school records will be provided.
For the English, Korean History, and Second Foreign Language/Chinese Characters areas, only the grades based on absolute evaluation will be indicated on the score reports, which will be distributed to test-takers from 9 a.m. on the 2nd of next month.
The provincial Office of Education will collect and analyze the results from 96 high schools immediately after the assessment, and post item analysis data such as correct answer rates, discrimination, and item response rates by subject on the Gyeongnam College Admissions Information Center website to be used as feedback materials for each school and student.
Kim Kyungkyu, Director of Career Education, said, "We hope that test-takers preparing for the CSAT will have the opportunity to adapt to the same system as the 2025 CSAT, and that, based on the assessment results, active collaboration among students, parents, and teachers regarding college admissions will be promoted."
