Korea GM Sees 26 Consecutive Months of Export Growth... "Trax Crossover is the Key Contributor"
Korea GM announced on the 3rd that it sold 48,584 units in overseas markets in May, an increase of 37.8% compared to the same month last year. This export performance marks 26 consecutive months of year-on-year growth.
In particular, the Chevrolet Trax crossover (including derivative models) sold 31,757 units in overseas markets in May, a 111.5% increase compared to the previous year. This model recorded the highest monthly overseas sales since its launch.
Global market sales (including domestic and export) reached 50,924 units (complete vehicles, excluding Cadillac performance), up 27.2% compared to the same month last year. With this, Korea GM's global sales volume has continued to rise year-on-year for 23 consecutive months.
On the other hand, domestic sales in May amounted to only 2,340 units, a 50% decrease compared to the same month last year.
