Samjin Eomuk Introduces New Trendy Diet Products for Summer
Enjoy Salad Toppings: Three Types of Protein Salad Bar
Fish cake brand Samjin Eomuk (CEO Park Yongjun) announced on the 3rd that it has launched three types of "Protein Salad Bars," which allow consumers to diet healthily and deliciously in line with the summer diet trend.
As the peak summer vacation season approaches, more people in their 20s and 30s are preparing for lighter outfits by combining proper diets with exercise. Recently, the trend of "Eodahaengda" (if you're going to diet anyway, do it happily) has emerged, leading to increased demand for tasty yet light foods that can be enjoyed without guilt, even when eating the same amount.
Samjin Eomuk has launched three new "Protein Salad Bars" in response to industry trends and for consumers who are tired of traditional protein foods like chicken breast and eggs. These new products offer higher protein content and lower calories compared to existing fish cake bars.
The "Protein Salad Bar" is a protein bar that combines fish meat with tofu, chicken breast, egg whites, and other ingredients, allowing for the intake of various proteins at once. It can be consumed without any cooking. In particular, ingredients like basil and olives, which pair well with salads, are added, making it a unique salad topping.
Samjin Eomuk's "Protein Salad Bar" comes in three flavors: "Plain," "Chicken Breast Chipotle," and "Basil Olive."
The "Plain" flavor contains no added ingredients, allowing you to experience the deep and clean taste of fish meat. It is steamed rather than fried, making it the lowest-calorie option among the three and ideal for a light snack.
The "Chicken Breast Chipotle" is a high-protein bar made by adding chicken breast to the fish paste, and is perfect for those who want to lose weight but crave a bold flavor. It features a chipotle mayo sauce for an addictive spicy kick. The "Basil Olive" flavor combines fish meat with basil for a fragrant taste and includes olives for a popping texture.
This product is available on the official Samjin Eomuk online mall and will also be stocked at GS25 convenience stores starting on the 15th. To celebrate the launch, the online mall is offering a 30% reward point benefit for about a month until the 3rd of next month when purchasing all three "Protein Salad Bars." Customers who upload a product review with a photo after purchase will receive an additional 2,000 won in reward points, and the best review each week will be awarded 10,000 won in reward points.
As the protein market grows, Samjin Eomuk is strengthening its lineup of premium protein snacks that can be enjoyed conveniently. Last year, it introduced snack products using fish jerky, such as "Grab a Bite Crispy Chips" and "Grab a Bite Sesame Crispy Chips," and recently launched the "1953 Boneless Bar," a fish cake bar made with boneless fish fillet.
Kim Taeseong, head of Samjin Eomuk's CX Division, said, "We launched this product with the hope that seafood-based protein will become a new trend in diet foods," adding, "We hope consumers planning to diet can prepare for this summer in a tasty and healthy way."
