Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, Attends the 2nd National Defense and Veterans Appreciation Festival Held on the Afternoon of the 1st at Hongdae Red Road
Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, attended the 2nd National Defense and Veterans Appreciation Festival held at Hongdae Red Road on the afternoon of the 1st.
Now in its second year following last year, the National Defense and Veterans Appreciation Festival was organized under the theme "Happy to be with you," honoring veterans who dedicated themselves to the country and expressing gratitude for their noble sacrifices.
This festival consisted of a national defense and veterans memorial ceremony, performances by singers Kwon In-ha and Kim Heung-guk, Dignity, Kim Moon-su & Dmitri, as well as booths featuring experiences and exhibitions.
The memorial ceremony was attended by about 1,000 people including veterans, their families, and residents, and proceeded in the following order: ▲ 56th Division Military Band parade ▲ singing of the national anthem and moment of silence ▲ presentation of appreciation plaques to veterans ▲ awards ceremony for winners of the National Defense and Veterans Children's Drawing and Writing Contest ▲ commemorative speech by Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District ▲ congratulatory speeches by guests.
