POSCO Cheongam Foundation, 2024 POSCO Vision Scholarship Recruitment
Selecting Around 50 New University Students from Pohang and Gwangyang for Scholarships
POSCO Cheongam Foundation announced on the 31st that it is recruiting POSCO Vision Scholars for 2024.
The 'POSCO Vision Scholars' program selects university students from the Pohang and Gwangyang regions who possess good character and supports their growth into outstanding members of society.
Eligible applicants are new university students who are from the Pohang or Gwangyang regions or have graduated from high schools in those areas.
The application period is from June 1 to July 7. Applications can be submitted online through the foundation's website.
The final successful candidates will be announced in early August after document screening and interviews.
Selected scholars will receive an annual living support scholarship of 5 million KRW until graduation (up to 7 semesters). This scholarship can be combined with the Korea Student Aid Foundation's national scholarship and tuition scholarships from respective universities.
In addition to providing scholarships, POSCO Cheongam Foundation plans to support the growth of scholars through programs such as overseas country exploration, regional meetings, employment mentoring, workshops, and volunteer activities.
Since launching the POSCO Vision Scholarship program in 2006, POSCO Cheongam Foundation has produced a total of 586 scholars and awarded a total of 5.6 billion KRW in scholarships.
