Dongmyung University Companion Animal College Launches 'Companion Animal Coexistence Culture Campaign'

Dongmyung University (President Jeon Ho-hwan), College of Companion Animals (Dean Kim Sujin), held a "Companion Animal Coexistence Culture Campaign" on the 29th to promote a proper culture of coexistence with companion animals through hygiene volunteering.
About 200 students and professors from the College of Companion Animals, Nam-gu pet dog safety managers, Nam-gu honorary animal protection officers, and Nam-gu district office officials participated in the campaign.
They carried out pet waste plogging on campus and around the UN Peace Park, and in collaboration with Busan City, disinfected the Dongmyung University pet dog playground (Dongsup).

Participants also made placards with the following pet etiquette guidelines: ▲When going out with your pet dog, it is mandatory to use a leash, harness, and identification tag ▲Dogs over two months old must be registered at the city/county/district office or an animal registration agency ▲Owners of dangerous dogs are required by law to complete education and purchase liability insurance ▲When going out with your pet dog, always bring a waste bag ▲In shared spaces inside apartment buildings, such as elevators, please hold your pet dog in your arms or grasp the back of their leash. They then held a "petiquette" march with these placards.
